Between 1908 and 2016, more than a century worth of heartache, near-misses and mythical “curses” were endured by Cub fans, yes. But how about all of the great players who came to the North Side and left with everything but a championship? Too many to count! Here are photographs signed by (3) Hall of Famers who donned the Cub uniform, but to no avail. Includes:

KiKi Cuyler: a vintage 8x10” sepia-toned photograph of Cuyler during his post-playing career as manager of the Southern Association’s Atlanta Crackers; Cuyler (d.1950) has signed the photo in black ink (“8-9” strength) and inscribed “Mgr. 1946 – To Betty, Rachel & Penny nice girls, nice fans”; full photo LOA from JSA

Gabby Hartnett: an 8x10” black-and-white photo of Hartnett during the 1927-1936 portion of his career on the North Side; Hartnett (d.1972) has signed “Leo “Gabby” Hartnett” in blue ballpoint (“9-10” strength); JSA sticker

Ray Schalk: an 8x10” black-and-white photo of one of the only honest “Black Sox” principals during the first season (1931) of his coaching tenure with the Cubs. Schalk (d.1970) has signed in blue ballpoint (“8” strength) and inscribed “Best Wishes”; full photo LOA from JSA
