The 1887 Old Judge (N172) issue is a difficult and expansive set with over 3500 known variations; each of the 500 players included in the set have rare variants that command higher prices and are in the upper echelon of the hobby. Offered is the more difficult 1887 Old Judge Philadelphia SS version of Arthur Irwin in street clothing. This fantastic card is among the highest graded by PSA with only one example graded higher. The card displays the fabulous pinkish color caused by the chemicals in the photographic process that many of the Old Judges have garnered over many years.
