Graded BVG 1 by Beckett. With the limited availability of authentic and vintage Joe Jackson cards on the market, the presented 1909-11 E90-1 American Caramel card must be considered as not only Shoeless Joe’s rookie card but as the most desirable of all cards that feature him in a Major League uniform. The E90-1 is the only vintage Joe Jackson card that shows Jackson with his first team, the Philadelphia Athletics, and it is rarely offered for public sale. This relic has been slabbed BVG 1 with four subcategories grades revealing centering 1.5, corners 0.5, edges 2.5 and surface 1. The card does have several creases and completely rounded corners and although the edges are sharp the card is off-center from left to right. The reverse displays light paper loss and visual damage consistent with the holstered grade. Unmistakably the best card for this banned and barred Hall of Fame caliber baseball player.
