It is about time that the 1902-11 Sporting Life Cabinet series finally gets the recognition so richly deserved. The imagery and splendor of the photographs are matched only by the opulent design of the 5 x 7-1/2” cabinet card. Presented is a gorgeous W600 Sporting Life Cabinet featuring Hall of Famer Miller Huggins. The card has been evaluated by Sportscard Guaranty and has received the superlative grade of SGC 84 7 NM. The Miller Huggins cabinet was issued in 1906 while “Hug” was playing second base for the Cincinnati Reds. The black and white portrait of Huggins, in his uniform, captioned with his name, position and team designation, is in stellar condition as is the textured matte border. The card is well centered and under strict scrutiny exhibits the mildest of wear on the corners. The reverse of this treasure is bright white and as clean as a 100-year-old card can be. This is the highest graded example for HOFer Miller Huggins from this scarce issue, but more importantly this card is one of the most attractive, clean and coveted cards from the highly prized W600 series that collectors will ever have the opportunity to own, so bid early and often.
