The Humboldt, Kansas birthplace and boyhood home of Walter Johnson is pictured on this circa 1910s real postcard. Graded 30 Good 2 by SGC, the uncirculated correspondence piece is the only such example to have been judged by the grading service. The sepia-toned image depicts the farmhouse in which the “Big Train” honed his craft along with an image of the youthful hurler and a facsimile autograph. Slight surface creasing along with perimeter notching accounts for the technical assessment.
