With the same inept cast, the New York Mets performed at a new venue in 1964. This ticket stub was issued to one of 50,312 spectators in Queens on April 17, 1964 for the first-ever contest at Shea Stadium. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this “Loge Box” voucher features a “Mr. Met” rain check logo and printed seating/event legends. The item has a clean reverse and presents nicely, though there is a small hole punching (likely from admission). Pittsburgh’s Willie Stargell christened the new ballpark with a second-inning home run that day.
