With the city still abuzz (and alarmed) over air raid sirens sounded after the White Sox had clinched their first A.L. flag in 40 years, the masses gathered for one final try at Comiskey Park for Game 6 of the 1959 Fall Classic. Encapsulated and Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, this full ticket was issued for that ’59 series finale. The colorful voucher features a globe-themed logo with a winged “sock” as the centerpiece. The “Upper Grandstand” ticket bears a (then) hefty “$7.20” asking price. The lofty technical assessment is warranted, as the edges and rounded corners appear razor sharp, and the perforations remain sealed. Attempting to force a decisive Game 7 that afternoon, the Sox instead were felled by circuit clouts from Snider, Essegian and Moon in a 9-3 Dodgers triumph.
