Presented are (33) autographed Richie Ashburn items including a baseball, cap and mini-bat. The cap is signed in silver marker (“8”), the ONL Giamatti ball in blue ink (“7”) and the mini-bat in black marker (“7”). Other items include (12) 3x7 photographs (signed in pen, grading “8-9”), an Ashburn golf tournament poster signed by Ashburn and Giles (“9”), a 69th Street Association program (“8”), (2) color 8x10 Cubs photos (both (“9”), a 6x8 magazine photo (blue marker, “9”), 1958 Sports Nite program (ink, “8”), a letter (“9”), a giveaway cap (“8”), a 1963 magazine (“9”), (3) 9x12 to 11x14 size pieces with (“9”) signatures and (4) miscellaneous items. The last two items are an envelope on which Whitey put his name and “Tilden, Neb.” on the return mail line and a one-page letter inside with a full signature at the bottom (“9”). Note: The signatures in the “Richie Ashburn Collection” section of our catalog were all obtained by the life-long collector/consignor of the collection. This person knew Ashburn personally. All signatures are guaranteed authentic (although no official LOA is being issued with the signed items). All of the signatures have a 60-day return policy if any of the signatures are deemed non-authentic by JSA or PSA.
