Issued for yet another in a seemingly endless line of Boston collapses, this October 2, 1978 Fenway Park ticket stub is a telling reminder of the “Curse of the Bambino.” Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, the voucher bears printed seating/event details. The item is accented by a black-and-white likeness of Carl Yastrzemski who, unfortunately, popped out to third base to end the BoSox’s season with the tying and winning runs on base. A pinhole and creases account for the technical grade on this keepsake from a memorable diamond confrontation. This ticket, from the contest in which Bucky Dent broke the hearts of the Fenway faithful, displays very nicely.
