Spared from the printer’s blade is the offered 1957 Topps Football uncut sheet of (77) cards. This higher-grade survivor is headlined by “The Golden Arm” and other Hall of Fame personnel. Comprised of (11) seven-card rows, exactly half of the subjects from this early football issue are represented. Peripheral wear including edge creasing does not significantly impact any of the key players. Additionally, scattered wrinkles and spider creases are largely relegated to only commons and semi-stars. The biographical/cartoon reverse is clean, and the overall sheet exhibits mild bowing. Other than #138 Unitas RC, additional keys include #28 Groza, #31 Blanda, #32 Layne, #49 Bednarik, #65 Donovan, #85 Lane RC, #92 Stautner, #124 McDonald RC, #128 L. Moore and #129 Perry. While uncut sheets from the 1960s-1970s are relatively scarce, such material from the 1950s is almost impossible.
