Temporarily “loaned” to Baltimore’s short-lived American League franchise in 1902, backstop Lew Drill was “returned” to the Washington Senators, where he posed for this 1903 E107 Type 1 card. Of the blank back variety, this scarce collectible is Graded FR 1.5 by PSA, and reigns as the lone specimen at its tier with only one graded higher. Rounded corners, front border foxing and mounting remnants on the reverse combine to account for the technical grade.
