While names like Bullet Joe Bush and Joe Dugan may not readily come to mind when chronicling the Yankees’ rich World Series history, they were the ones that powered the hosts to their first-ever Fall Classic win at “The House That Ruth Built,” an October 14, 1923 triumph that was the first of a record 50 World Series victories at the storied venue. Graded EX 5 by PSA, this 1923 World Series Game 5 ticket stub is the lone example at its tier with none graded higher. The “Bleachers” voucher features printed seating, event and “Rain Check” details, as well as the facsimile signature of Jacob Ruppert, the brewery magnate and baseball executive who helped make Yankee Stadium a reality.
