In a fitting end to a tragically abbreviated career, Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente doubled in his last-ever regular season start. In an otherwise meaningless game, it was significant in that it was the 3,000th and final hit of a remarkable career. Encapsulated and Graded Good 2 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued on September 30, 1972 to one of 13,117 spectators at Three Rivers Stadium. One of (11) graded with only four graded higher, this “Field Box” voucher holds immeasurable value as a rare souvenir from the final milestone of a selfless hero.
