Encapsulated and Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA, this 1963 World Series Game 1 full ticket is one of six at its lofty tier with none graded higher. Issued in the Bronx on October 2, the colorful voucher has printed seating/event details, as well as the Yankees’ “top hat” logo and a global-themed event logo. As a pair of pitching legends took the mound that day, trends and probabilities meant nothing. To wit: Among Sandy Koufax’ (then) record 15 strikeouts, Bobby Richardson was a victim three times. Richardson hadn’t been fanned twice in the same game and had only whiffed 22 times all year. Additionally, John Roseboro’s three-run shot in the second inning was the only circuit clout Whitey Ford allowed to a left-handed hitter all year.
