Plagued by traumatic arthritis during the latter portion of an abbreviated career, 30-year-old Sandy Koufax posted a stellar 27-9 mark to help the Dodgers to their second straight N.L. flag. Summoned to pitch Game 2 of the World Series at Dodger Stadium on October 6, Koufax took the mound for the final time. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this 1966 World Series Game 2 full ticket was issued for Koufax’ swan song. The “Reserved Green Level” voucher has printed seating and event legends. Small sections of reverse paper loss (from previous mounting) account for the technical grade, as the obverse presents beautifully with sharp edges/corners. Spoiling Koufax’ farewell, 20-year-old Jim Palmer blanked the Dodgers, 6-0 en route to an Orioles four-game sweep that prevented another appearance by the Dodger southpaw.
