Before his back-to-back All-Star game appearances and American League saves crown, former Yankees southpaw Dave Righetti enjoyed his crowning achievement on July 4, 1983. Before 41,077 at Yankee Stadium that afternoon, Righetti became the first Yankee to hurl a no-hitter since Don Larsen’s 1956 World Series gem, and was the first pinstriped lefthander to do it since 1917. Encapsulated and Graded VG 3 by PSA, this full ticket was issued in the Bronx for that historic performance. The off-white voucher features printed seating/event details and the team’s “Top Hat” logo. The reverse is home to rain check details and an advertisement. A noteworthy collectible in the realms of Yankees, non-hitters and the bitter New York-Boston rivalry, this one presents nicer than its technical assessment suggests.
