Quick: who was the greatest defensive third baseman throughout the 1960s? Well, we can't fault you for saying "Brooks," but you may also have an argument with Don Wert. That's right, Don Wert, whose 1965 league-best .976 fielding percentage marked the only season during the entire decade that somebody other than Robinson led the league. As he manned the hot corner during his nine-year Major League career, Wert used this Spalding “42-207” signature model fielder’s glove to rank among the best at his position. The right-handed leather item shows solid game use with wear about the pocket and cracking on the palm area. LOA from Don Wert.Note: the winning bidder has the option of having this item autographed (with choice of personalization/inscription, if wanted) by Wert at no extra cost.
