Philadelphia Phillies manager Eddie Sawyer surprised the baseball world by starting his bullpen ace Jim Konstanty in Game 1 of the 1950 World Series. Yankees pitching star Vic Raschi out-dueled the 1950 N.L. MVP by a score of 1 to 0 to begin the Yankees sweep of the youthful “Whiz Kids”. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA this handsome full ticket is an excellent memento of this hard fought “Game 1” which took place on 10/4/50 at Shibe Park in Philadelphia.
