Supplanting “Murderers Row” as baseball’s supreme assembly, the Philadelphia Athletics began their own dynasty in 1929. In that year’s Fall Classic, Connie Mack’s charges were not to be stopped, disposing of the Cubs in five games. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this 1929 World Series Game 2 full ticket was issued at Wrigley Field for a 9-3 Athletics triumph in which Jimmie Foxx homered. The lone graded specimen, this “Upper Box” voucher presents nicely, though has been trimmed to warrant the technical assessment. Colors remain vibrant.
