As opponents came and went, the ageless Pete Rose only added to his remarkable statistics. At the tender age of 37, Rose became the 13th member of baseball’s 3000-hit club as he hit a pair of singles off of Montreal’s Steve Rogers on May 5, 1978. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this Riverfront Stadium ticket stub was issued to one of 37,823 spectators to witness Cincinnati’s favorite son achieve baseball immortality. A paperclip impression accounts for the technical grade, though razor sharp edges/corners exceed the evaluation.
