Symbolic of a championship drought that has now reached 104 years, Game 1 of the 1929 World Series unfolded as only a Chicago Cubs endeavor could, with Woody English committing back-to-back fielding gaffes that led to two unearned runs in the top of the 9th. Encapsulated and Graded VG 3 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at Wrigley Field for that October 8 series opener in which Jimmie Foxx launched his first-ever fall Classic home run. The lone specimen at its tier with only one graded higher, this “Grand Stand” voucher features printed seating/event details and the facsimile signature of Cubs president William, Veeck, Sr.
