Proving that there was life after Ruth, the New York Yankees armed themselves with a “can’t-miss” prospect named “DiMaggio” and promptly secured a (then) record four straight World Series titles. Encapsulated and Graded Good 2 (MK) by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at the Polo Grounds for Game 6 of the 1936 Fall Classic, an October 6 battle in which rookie DiMaggio went 3-for-6 to help clinch the series. The “Upper Stand” voucher features printed seating/event details, as well as the facsimile signature of Giants President Horace Stoneham. One of (15) graded with only (5) graded higher, this Harlem admission relic presents much nicer than the technical assessment suggests, though handwritten scoring notations on the reverse account for the grade.
