Facing Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell in Game 4 of the 1936 Fall Classic, the New York Yankees took a commanding 3 games to 1 lead en route to the fifth crown in franchise annals. Leading the attack that afternoon was Lou Gehrig, who launched his ninth of 10 career World Series homers in the third inning. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Yankee Stadium for that October 4, 1936 “Subway Series” encounter. With printed seating/event details and the facsimile signature of Yankees president Jacob Ruppert, this “Mezza Grandstand or Upper Unreserved” voucher is a scarce survivor from a storied chapter in the history of baseball’s winningest franchise.
