Reaching out to fulfill President Kennedy’s dream of a Presidential Library and Museum, investors and planners held widespread benefit events immediately following his assassination. Among the many sources of capital for the project was an August 23, 1964 NFL preseason game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions. Encapsulated and Graded EX 5 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at the since-razed Franklin Field for that charitable gridiron event. The crisp voucher features printed seating/event details, a black-and-white photo of the slain chief executive and a printed legend on the reverse. The lone example it its tier with only one graded higher, this is a scarce memento from a noble cause which, due to contractual and financial setbacks, did not even break ground until 1977 and was not completed and formally dedicated until 1979.
