George Edward (Rube) Waddell, the dominating southpaw and 1946 Baseball Hall of Famer appears the part of a gentleman on his 1902-11 Sporting Life Cabinets premium. The portrait of the intense Philadelphia Athletics hurler presents at the peak of the technical assessment with a crease-free image that is absent of any paper loss or writing. Despite a pin hole which facilitated prominent display along with scattered instances of surface staining, the 112 year-old canvas still presents nicely. Extremely scarce heirloom of the Pennsylvania native who is pictured in black-and-white splendor toward the dawn of his career.
