In five failed World Series appearances in 13 seasons, the Brooklyn Dodgers drew the cross-borough rival Yanks as an opponent all five times. In the latter of those showdowns, the 1953 “Bums” dropped the first two games at Yankee Stadium before storming back to tie the series in Flatbush. Consistent with his Major League leading 326 home runs during the decade, Duke Snider launched a tape measure shot in Game 4 to contribute to a 7-3 Dodgers triumph. Encapsulated and Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, this ticket stub was issued at Ebbets Field from that October 3 Game 4 battle. The crisp voucher features printed seating/event legends, as well as the facsimile signature of Dodgers owner Walter O’Malley. One of four at its plateau with only four graded higher, this October keepsake warrants a second look, as it presents even nicer than the technical assessment suggests.
