Detailed description on website. Graded 80 EX/NM 6 by SGC and confirmed as pose 72-3. Poor, Dan Casey. Despite spinning refuted yarns that he was the one and only "Casey at the Bat", the New York native is still immortalized on this lovely 1887 N172 Old Judge Cigarettes sample. The perfectly contrasted sepia image is bolstered by strong corners, crisp edges and perfectly struck advertising text. Of the 28 total copies confirmed by SGC, this relic survives as 1 of 3 at the grading level with only one better.
