On September 25, 1975, just two months into his first stint at the Yankees helm, Billy Martin bestowed his ballpoint "8" signature on the back of this $170 check. Prior to Martin"s managerial return in 1979 (the same year as Munson"s death), Coach Yogi Berra endorsed the reverse of his own $159 check with a "9" signature. Yankee secretary William K.
