Way back in the dark ages of professional football, before there was ever such a thing as the Super Bowl, hard-nosed gridiron warriors battled it out for League supremacy in the NFL Championship game. Believe it or not, the Philadelphia Eagles actually won a few of these championships, claiming the NFL"s top spot with victories in 1948, 1949 and 1960. Jog your memory with this excellent souvenir of the "Birds" most recent triumph with this 1960 NFL Championship Game full ticket. Issued at venerable Franklin Field in Philadelphia on 1/1/61, this ancient ducat is themed in green with a fierce flying eagle clutching a football in its talon. Certified and encapsulated by PSA, this ticket is rated (GD 2) likely attributable to corner wear, but otherwise presents better with bold graphics and relatively clean surfaces considering its ample age of fifty-seven years. This Eagles victory came at the expense of the mighty Green Bay Packers and the great Vince Lombardi, who suffered the only postseason loss of his career as a head coach. The defining moment of this hard-fought contest came in the closing seconds, when the NFL"s last "sixty-minute man" Chuck Bednarik tackled Jim Taylor and pinned him until time ran out.
