The 1945 NFL Championship saw a bizarre rule affect the Washington Redskins and Sammy Baugh. Baugh threw a pass into the end zone that struck the upright and fell back to the ground, recovered by the home team (Cleveland Rams). At the time, it was ruled a safety and the Redskins lost by one point. Later, an enraged George Marshall had the rule changed in the offseason. This Lower Stand full ticket is encapsulated and graded Good 2 by PSA. Moderate to heavy wear on the front and reverse includes residue as well as a few light crease lines. A solid addition to any vintage football ticket collection.
