Dubbed “Broadway Joe” before he ever took a snap in professional football, University of Alabama product Joe Namath hit the scene with a record $427,000 contract and a brash demeanor. En route to AFL Rookie of the Year honors in 1965, Namath saw his first action on September 18 at Shea Stadium, throwing his first career touchdown pass to Hall of Fame teammate Don Maynard in a 14-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Encapsulated and assessed “Authentic” by PSA, this full ticket was issued for that debut effort. This is the lone graded specimen! The “UPPER BOX” voucher features green and silver hues on which printed seating and event details are displayed. There are hole punchings at both ends, indicating that the ticket was cancelled (either upon admission or at the box office).
