On this creamy-toned, light-stamping OAL (Harridge) ball, the Jackie Robinson ("8") and Gil Hodges ("9") are beauties that display as side-panel singles. The other key is Roy Campanella ("7-8"), and then there"s a quartet of Joe Black, Erv Palica, Carl Furillo and non-Dodger Turk Lown (all "6-8"). According to Charles Evers" personal notes, all but two of the signatures were actually obtained in the players" homes in February 1954, with Furillo later signing at his New York deli in 1966, and Hodges at his Brooklyn home in 1967.
