As we approach the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair, we come to the shocking realization that the "Rock "n Roll" genre is now a senior citizen. For those of us around at the time, it"s really hard to believe the "Woodstock Nation" came together fifty years ago and even harder to believe by that point The Beatles were on the verge of breaking up, the already venerable Chuck Berry was still cranking out his double-note riffs in between run-ins with the law and Elvis had been around so long he had to stage a comeback performance. Shortly after the first men landed on the Moon, a half-million members of the "Love Generation" landed on Yasgur"s farm in upstate New York for a scheduled 3-day event on August 15-17, 1969. Weather conditions forced an extension to four days, with Jimi Hendrix closing things out in front of an audience of die-hard fans and those who were just too stoned to leave. Pay tribute to this historic musical extravaganza with this unused full "Three Day Ticket" which is graded (NM-MT 8) by PSA. Formatted with individual segments for Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus a $24.00 receipt stub, this remarkable relic looks as though it has been sealed in a time capsule during the past five decades and is as fine a memento of the greatest rock show ever that you"re likely to encounter.
