The 1954 season was literally a banner year for the New York Giants as they captured the National League Pennant and then swept the Cleveland Indians in a World Series that will be forever remembered for "the Catch" by Willie Mays. Ranking high among the season’s promotional items, this extremely scarce 5-1/2 x 3-1/4“ postcard features an obverse Mays portrait image and facsimile signature similar in style to the Salutation Exhibit series and a reverse penned thrice with secretarial Mays" signatures.
