Intriguing 1962 Topps Football complete/near set file binder pair plus a five-cent wrapper and sell sheet. These black bordered beauties were originally purchased at the famed 1989 Guernsey Auction in New York City and stored by our consignor in the decades since. This remarkable gathering is stored in a period three-ring binder that includes the original sell sheet (with editorial mark and one torn punch hole) and a dated 7/6/62 glue-affixed five-cent wrapper page. Following those pages is a pair of 1962 Topps Football complete/near sets. Arranged over (59) three-card pages, these brilliant examples feature both the fronts and backs of each player (with the exception of #90 Tarkenton RC SP front that was removed). Although the cards are glue-affixed to each single-sided page, the surfaces present nearly as when produced over a half-century ago. It is unknown if the cards can be professionally removed.
