With our last two auctions in the books, the word is out, and spread far and wide, Michael Jordan NBA debut game ticket stubs are a hot commodity. Our December 2021 and April 2022 auctions saw several Jordan debut game stubs fetch astonishing prices, and interest continues to grow in these prized Jordan souvenirs. To date, PSA has slabbed various stubs noted as "Box Office", "Ticketron", "Season Ticket", and "Qualified" types. These various stub types are listed in their respective sub-category sections, however there is also a combined listing for the year "1984", under the heading "Chicago Bulls-Stub", showing a total population of (23), including (3) identified as "Qualified". Of the entire population two have been rated EX-MT 6, and these two are the highest graded of any type, however neither is noted in the Box Office category. In the Box Office section, the population is nine, with the highest being two graded EX 5. Here we have a 10/26/84 Chicago Bulls ticket stub from Michael Jordan"s NBA debut game. This stub has recently returned from PSA, with a grade of (EX 5), with "1984 Chicago Bulls - Box Office, Bulls-109, Bullets-93, Oct. 26, Michael Jordan Debut Game" noted on the label. Depending on whether PSA has updated its Population Report to include this prized stub in the total, it is either "1/2" or "1/3" highest graded Box Office examples, that have been graded EX 5, with none higher in this category. Of the Jordan debut game stubs we have seen to date, the one offered is easily the brightest, and has the boldest graphics and colors. Any way you look at it, this bright, clean ticket stub from the first game of the greatest basketball career the planet has ever known, is a major collecting triumph for devoted Michael Jordan fans.
