In this writer’s humble opinion, the 1910 T212 Obak edition is the most beautiful baseball tobacco card set ever issued. The characters, colorful team uniforms and PCL landscapes were gloriously crafted by the California branch of the American Tobacco Company. The offered complete set of (175) cards (175 Subjects back) may be short in player star power but is certainly long and expansive in eye appeal. The overall condition breakdown is as follows: 11% (FR or better) and 89% (PR or authentic) with nearly 45% displaying paper loss/residue, pin holes, tape repair, trimming and/or writing. Despite surviving in lower grade, this antique assembly is still quite attractive and nearly impossible to piece together as a full set over a century after release. Better cards include: Browning (PR, tough "Just Right" back) and Fisher (PR, Portland, upside down wrong back).
